Armbro Goal Passes

Former Ontario-bred stakes champion and top stallion Armbro Goal, passed away in Denmark at age 28.

Bred by the Armstrong Brothers and campaigned by Continental Farms Stable, the regally bred son of Speedy Crown out of Armbro Flight earned over $1.4 million in purses and took a mark of 1:54.3 during his racing career, which included victories in the 1988 Hambletonian, Canadian Trotting Classic, World Trotting Derby, Dexter Cup, Zweig Memorial, and Beacon Course en route to being named Three-Year-Old Trotting Colt of the Year in both Canada and the U.S.

Armbro Goal retired at the end of his sophomore season and stood at Castleton Farm in Kentucky and New Jersey before being sold to Italian interests in 1998 to stand at Orsi Mangelli Stud. He later moved to Denmark in 2009 with his final crop born last year.

His offspring included Fools Goal ($3,462,761, 1:51.3), top French stallion Defi Daunou ($2,144,553, 1:54.4), Legendary Lover K ($1,716,136, 1:54.4), Abundance ($875,022, 1:54), Winkys Goal ($844,924, 1:54.4), and Oolong ($744,086, 1:54.4).
