The 2014 season was a personal-best season for driver Alfie Carroll, and with just over a month in the books in the 2015 campaign he’s clearly on a mission to top last year’s totals.
Carroll celebrated a five-win performance during Monday’s 11-race card at the London, Ontario half-miler, with the win parade beginning in Race 3. Conflict Diamond got the ball rolling for Carroll thanks to his come-from-behind score in 1:59. He went on to win the next three races, as well, with wins behind Heza Workof Art (Race 4 - 2:00.4), Divine Hester (Race 5 - 2:01.1) and Born With Class (Race 6 – 2:02.2). He capped off the card winning Race 11 with Little Turk in 2:01.3.
On the heels of a 311-win season, the resident of Iona Station, Ontario has already piled up 44 wins this year. His record purse haul in excess of $1.3 million in 2014 has been followed up by $186,834 in earnings so far this year.
