The third annual Matinee Tracks Awards Banquet took place at the Red Shores Charlottetown dining room on Thursday, February 18
. Special guests Minister of Agriculture and Deputy Premier George Webster and Minister of Finance Wes Sheridan presented the awards to the participants of the 2009 Matinee Tracks Challenge Series.

Owner of the Year
Leo Bernard, owner of top points horse Little York Ed
Sportsman of the Year
Presented to one of the many people whose volunteer hours keep the matinee tracks running smoothly, Phillip DesRoches of O’Leary.
