Trainer-driver Kelly Sheppard enjoyed a perfect three wins on Friday night's 12-race program at Flamboro Downs
Making her first start for Sheppard, Miss Double Punch ($11.10) front-stepped her way to victory lane in the eighth race $7,500 claiming pace for fillies and mares. She held on by a nose to score in 1:57.4. Veteran trotter Ziggy Wiggy ($2.70) gave Sheppard the double in the very next race as she rallied off cover to score in 2:02.1 by three-quarters of a length. Finally, trotting mare Armbro Deed ($5.50) romped to a six-length victory in the 11th race, stopping the clock in 1:59 flat.
The resident of Dundas, Ont. has sent 12 winners postward in 2011 to earn over $44,000. Lifetime, he boasts 595 wins on his training record and earnings of over $4.5 million.
With his training triple, Sheppard jumped up to second in the track's standings for wins, trailing Rene Allard by just two victories.
