According Michael Palermo, stable foreman for the Tim Butt stable, recent Hunter Cup winner Mr Feelgood arrived on the Gold Coast in Australia this week and is fitting in "perfectly." The Ontario-sired horse is prepping for the Inter Dominion series
, which will take place from mid to late-March at the Gold Coast Parklands track.
"I worked him this morning and I just ran the rein over his rump around the bend and he picked up the bit and went," Palermo was quoted as saying in a report on goldcoast.com.au.
"We couldn't be happier with how he is going. By the time the final comes around he will be near his best."
Many in Australia are dubbing Mr Feelgood, winner of the 2006 Little Brown Jug, as the best-ever import from the western hemisphere.
