Parked to the quarter, race-favourite About A Boy brushed to the lead heading to the half and maintained control through the wire to take the $8,500 Preferred 3 Pace at Flamboro Downs on Sunday, Feb. 17.
Print Media moved to the top heading to a :28.1 opening quarter as driver Bob McClure floated away with About A Boy for position from post eight into fourth. About A Boy soon cleared command passing a :57 half and continued to control through a 1:25.3 third quarter.
About A Boy held the lead through the stretch to stop the clock in 1:55 with Print Media giving chase from the pocket second and Lets Wait And See shooting through the inside for third.
A five-year-old gelding by Dali, About A Boy won his 10th race in 55 starts, earning $95,345. Anita Ouellette trains the $4.80 winner for Luc Ouellette Inc. and Paul Bernard.
