TSM Photo Bugger grabbed the lead with a determined first-over bid, then dug in late to capture featured $22,500 Winners Over $10,000 Life/Preferred Handicap Trot at The Meadows in rein to five-time Wednesday winner Mike Wilder.
TSM Photo Bugger was fourth down the backside when Wilder sent him after the leader, I Know My Chip. The nine-year-old SJs Photo-Rewarding Wink gelding wore down I Know My Chip, but was all out to hold off the wide rally of Trustworthy Kid, who fell a nose short. Rompaway Galaxy earned show. The winning time was 1:56.1.
Jan Fread trains TSM Photo Bugger, who now boasts $561,186 in career earnings, for owner/breeder Ted Tomson.
The Preferred win was the second of five on the 15-race card for Wilder.
