Solid Bounce Back For Mrs Suhwiggins

The trip turned out to be a dreamy one for Mrs Suhwiggins in Monday’s $10,000 Fillies & Mares Open Pace at Fraser Downs, and that played a key role in helping Mrs Suhwiggins bounce back to win Monday’s main event at Fraser Downs.

With David Kelly at the lines of Mrs Suhwiggins dropped into the pocket as soon as the starting gate sped away. The leader, Rockin Mystery, darted to the top from her inside starting spot and then threw down fractions of :26.2, :56.4 and 1:25. Sent off as the odds-on favourite, the six-year-old daughter of Custard The Dragon-Michelles Fury powered home in :28.3 to win by a neck over Rockin Mystery in 1:53.4. Hurried Romance took home the third prize in the four-horse affair.

J J J Stables of Prince George, BC own the mare who won for the second time this season from four attempts. Now a 26-time winner from just 75 starts, the photogenic performer has banked over $330,000 lifetime.
