Object Of Art challenged Handsome Prince first over, then gradually wore him down in a quarter-mile duel to capture Monday’s $22,500 Winners Over $10,000 Life/Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows

Handsome Prince, the 2-5 favourite, took the field through three-quarters in 1:25.2 before Aaron Merriman moved Object Of Art from third. Both horses were strong to the wire, but Object Of Art kept his nose in front to score in 1:54. Hey Mister DJ was a rallying third.
Bill Bercury trains and owns Object Of Art, an eight-year-old Camluck-Artful Angel gelding who now boasts $447,050 in career earnings.
Dave Palone drove four winners — three for trainer Ron Burke — on the 15-race card.
