Alta Revelry N left aggressively along the pylons, briefly parking out Captaincountrystar (Pat Berry) before he powered clear to a wind-aided first quarter of :26.1, while Adam Twelve (Corey Callahan) settled in third. Captaincountrystar cruised to the half unchallenged in 54.2, before Wehadababyetzaboy (Jason Green) roared first-over into the headwinds from fifth on the backstretch. Wehadababyetzaboy surged alongside Captaincountrystar to three-quarters in 1:23 while Alra Revelry stalked from the pocket.
Alta Revelry N vacated the pocket on the final turn, swinging three-wide as Wehadababyetzaboy grabbed a short lead turning for home. Surging with a :28.1 final quarter, Alta Revelry grabbed the lead late to score by three-quarters of a length in over Wehadababyetzaboy in 1:51.3. Adam Telve navigated rivals late to finish in the third position.
