According to a report, the New York Lottery is considering pulling the plug on popular video lottery terminal gaming at Batavia Downs since operator Western Regional Off-Track Betting has been accused of administrative
violations.
The report by WIVB states that officials with Western Regional OTB have now agreed to sit down with counterparts from the New York Lottery to resolve any issues.
"Since our operation opened in 2005, we've sent $73 million down the Thruway to Albany," Timothy A. McCarthy, general counsel for Western Regional OTB, was quoted as saying. "We know our facility is a very valuable resource to the state as well as our community."
