
Former Ontario Sires Stakes winner Deadline Hall made his Saratoga Casino Hotel debut a winning one on Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 11 in the $21,429 Open Handicap Trot.
Aaron Byron sat behind the Amanda Kelley-trained trotter, who startes from post position one and was able to control the action from start to finish. Deadline Hall cruised through a first lap in :57.3 and powered home to prevail in 1:55.3. Longshot Comeonover Hanover (Billy Dobson) sat the pocket and finished one length behind in second while City Of Hope (Jimmy Devaux) earned the show spot.
Deadline Hall earned his first win of the season from two starts and returned $15.40 for the mild upset.
A career winner of nine races and more than a quarter of a million dollars in purses, the five-year-old Muscle Mass-Daylon Mystique gelding currently races for owners S & K Misfit Racing and John Ball.
Live harness racing continues on Wednesday afternoon at Saratoga with a matinee that begins at 12 p.m.
