The owners of Muscle Hill’s fastest son, Rebuff 3, 1:49.4 ($962,490), announced that new owners have purchased an interest in the second-year trotting stallion.
“We are very excited to have the opportunity to participate in the Rebuff ownership group,” shared Tim Schmucker, one of the Pond-A-Acres owners.
“Muscle Hill has proven to have tremendous influence as both a broodmare sire and through his successful sons including Tactical Landing, Bar Hopping, Resolve and Long Tom, to name just a few. With Rebuff’s accomplishments on the track and still the fastest son of his great sire, we believe he has every quality necessary to be an exceptional stallion in Indiana as well as on a national level. We have booked a very supportive number of mares to Rebuff.”
Pond-A-Acres is a welcome addition to the current ownership group, said Mitchel Skolnick of Bluestone Farms and the Managing North America Partner for Rebuff.
“We are thrilled to have Pond-A-Acres, a family owned and operated farm, join our ownership group. They are clearly at the forefront of the Indiana stakes program and have put together a strong group of broodmares with the ability to produce colts and fillies with the potential to also compete in the major Grand Circuit stakes.
"Rebuff is an exceptional son of the great Muscle Hill and as he has now also become a sire of sires and we share their belief that he will add to that list. This is a powerful statement for the Indiana racing and breeding program.”
The purchase was orchestrated by Bob Boni / Northwood Bloodstock Agency.
Multiple stakes winner and Breeders Crown champion Rebuff stands his second season at stud in 2024 in Indiana at Victory Hill Farm for a fee of $7,500 USD. For more information or to secure a booking contact Victory Hill Farm at 260-463-2442. Frozen semen will be available to European breeders.
