Sent the odds-on favourite, About A Boy swept past pacesetter Racemup and kicked to a two-and-three-quarter length victory in the $8,500 Preferred 3 feature at Flamboro Downs on Sunday, Feb. 10.

Driver Louis-Philippe Roy positioned the five-year-old Dali gelding fourth to a :28.1 quarter set by Racemup before pulling first over into a :58.1 half. The Anita Ouellette trainee blitzed the tempo setter to three-quarters and took control past a 1:27 third quarter. Tero, catching cover second over, gave pursuit in the stretch to take second while Gold Star Diablo, from third over, took third.

Owned by Luc Ouellette Incorporated and Paul Bernard, About A Boy won his ninth race from 54 starts, earning $91,095. He paid $2.90 to win.
