Gagnon Grabs Five At Rideau

The Sunday evening program at Rideau Carleton Raceway was dominated by teamster Guy Gagnon, who finished the evening with five wins over the course of the 15-race program.

Gagnon, who is coming off a career year for wins (342) and earnings ($1,303,840), clicked with Devil L A (2:00.2) in the second race and came right back for a second helping of victory lane in the very next race with All Ablaze (2:00.3).

He posted three consecutive wins starting with a wire-to-wire score behind Atomic Ideal (1:58.3) in the seventh race. Triple Bars (1:57.4) rallied to an impressive off-the-pace triumph in the eighth race for Gagnon, who also took the ninth race with Pimlicos Treasure (2:02.2).

Gagnon currently sits with 3,125 career wins and purse earnings in excess of $13.6 million.
