Hammered down to 1-9, Let It Ride N lived up to expectations on Friday (Dec. 9) at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, capturing the $19,300 Open Handicap Pace in a nifty 1:49.3.
Let It Ride N yielded the early lead to Surreal Ideal but roared right back to the point at the quarter. From there, the race for win was effectively over, as the nine-year-old Rock N Roll Heaven-Love A Gamble gelding scored easily for Dave Palone, a length better than Surreal Ideal, with Sandbetweenmytoes a rallying third.
Michael Hitchcock trains the winner, who now has banked $718,068, for William Hartt and Enzed Racing Stable Inc.
Palone collected four wins on the 13-race card, giving him seven over the last two programs.
The Jackpot Super Hi-5, swollen by days of carryovers, was knocked down, with the winning ticket worth $26,360.96.
