The co-author of a recent book on the story of Meadow Skipper has revealed that books are in the works for two of harness racing's most popular performers.

In a recent interview Bob Marks, the co-author of Meadow Skipper, The Untold Story told The Meadowlands' Bob Heyden that books are now in the works to tell the stories of Foiled Again and Wiggle It Jiggleit.

"The title is going to be The Standardbred Seabiscuit," Marks said of the book on Foiled Again, harness racing's all-time richest performer. "Then we're going to do a sequel to the Meadow Skipper book which is about Most Happy Fella.

"And we have a commitment with George Teague to do a book on Wiggle It Jiggleit. However, we're not going to jinx the horse because he's going to come back and race next year. So therefore, we'll get started as to his story up until his three-year-old year but we're not going to release until he's further into his campaign."

Marks and Heyden also discuss Meadow Skipper and his impact on the Standardbred breed, the impact of Maritime native Earle Avery on Meadow Skipper's success, and Marks feels drivers like John Campbell and Buddy Gilmour would not have been good fits for the pacing horse -- who was almost gelded at age two.
