McCown To Discuss Lou Marsh Voting

Trot Insider has learned that this evening on Primetime Sports, host Bob McCown, along with Toronto Star columnists Dave Perkins and Mary Ormsby, will discuss the voting process that occurred today for the Lou Marsh Award.

The 2008 Lou Marsh Award for Canada's athlete of the year was given to Chantal Petitclerc, the standout female athlete that won five gold medals and set three world records at the Beijing Paralympics.

McCown, and co-host Stephen Brunt will be discussing the outcome between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. They will be joined by Perkins and Ormsby after the 6:00 p.m. (ET) news update.

Standardbred Canada will continue to lead the charge in having Somebeachsomewhere recognized for his tremendous athletic accomplishments in 2008 and will put forth his name to be considered for the Lionel Conacher Award. The Award, also named annually is given to Canada's Male Athlete of the Year. The award, first given in 1932, is voted upon by members of the Canadian Press.
