Eurobond led every step in fashioning a convincing victory in Wednesday’s (Dec. 8) $16,000 Open Handicap Trot at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.
Perlucky challenged for the lead early, but Eurobond and Jim Pantaleano gave him the cold shoulder and forced him to a parked-out mile. The pair knew what they were doing, as Eurobond faced no serious threats thereafter and cruised home in 1:55.4. The pocket-sitting Rainbowinthewest was second, two lengths back, while Lucky Matter rallied for show.
Christen Pantaleano trains Eurobond, a six-year-old son of Love You and True Diva who extended his career earnings to $397,825, for Matthew Morrison.
Brady Brown collected three wins on the 12-race card.
