Winners of Pacer, Trotter and Horse of the Year will be announced February 27 at USHWA’s annual awards dinner, which will be held at the Marriott in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Three-year-old male pacer Rock N Roll Heaven finished the year as the No. 1-ranked horse in the Hambletonian/Breeders Crown Top 10 poll for trainer Bruce Saunders and owner Frank Bellino of Bronxville, New York. The son of Rocknroll Hanover-Artistic Vision won 16 of 21 races this year, including his final 10 races in a row, and earned over $2.1 million. Lifetime, he has won 20 of 30 starts and banked over $2.7 million.
Older male pacer Won The West ranked second in the poll, followed by three-year-old filly pacer Put On A Show, three-year-old trotting colt Lucky Chucky, older female trotter Buck I St Pat, older male pacer Shark Gesture, two-year-old filly pacer See You At Peelers, older female pacer Dreamfair Eternal, three-year-old trotting colt Wishing Stone and three-year-old male pacer One More Laugh.
