The American Harness Race Secretaries concluded their 50th anniversary of meetings on Saturday at the Embassy Suites in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

The three-day session saw race secretaries, Sire Stakes administrators and staking service people from across North America come to meet and review the calendar dates for the 2015 stakes racing season with nearly 1,800 stakes and added events logged in.

The official stakes calendar for North America will not be completed until sometime in January after future review.

On day one, John Campbell, president of the Grand Circuit, spoke to the group on the success of the 2014 season and how if everyone works together as took place, then most conflicts were avoided. He was pleased to also hear about many new Grand Circuit events developed for the 2015 season.

On Friday, David Siegel, president of Trackmaster, gave a presentation on the results of the new automated morning line program and also showed the group the many great features that Trackmaster provides to tracks throughout the United States, including added graphic statistics, up to the day program and hyperlinks to each tracks leading drivers and trainers, plus special features that are available.

Saturday’s session saw roundtable discussions on many current issues in the racing community on both sides of the boarder. At the closing luncheon, special recognition was given to Recording Secretary Sharon Hermann and Stakes Administrator Carol Cramer for the superb job they have done year after year in coordinating everything with the race secretaries and the United States Trotting Association.

The association also thanked their many special sponsors of the meetings. They are the USTA, Tioga Downs, Vernon Downs and the new Meadowlands, Balmoral/Maywood Park, Yonkers Raceway, North American Gentlemen Drivers, Delvin Miller Billings Series, Woodbine Entertainment Group, PHHA, Scioto Downs, Hollywood Dayton, Lexington Select Yearling Sales, Hambletonian Society, Aden Homestead Stable, Pocono Downs, Grand Circuit, The Meadows, Clinton Raceway, Harness Horse Breeders NY, Great Lakes Amateur Driving Club and Buffalo Raceway.
