Stakes-winning sophomore pacing colt Madden Oaks has been retired and will stand stud for the 2026 breeding season.

On Saturday, Dec. 6, Dr. J Stallion Management announced that Madden Oaks will stand at Winbak Farm of New York for an introductory stud fee of $5,000 USD.

A son of top pacing sire Huntsville out of the Bettors Delight mare Hard Eight, Madden Oaks retires from racing with a lifetime mark of 1:48 this year at three and earnings of $1,006,547. Only missing the board in four of 21 lifetime starts, Madden Oaks won this year’s edition of the Meadowlands Pace in 1:48, defeating Prince Hal Hanover, and was second by a neck to Louprint in the North America Cup, thus stamping him as one of the top colts in this year’s glamour boy division.

In addition, Madden Oaks won a leg of the New York Sire Stakes at Tioga Downs, an elimination of the Progress Pace, was second in the Cane Pace and third in a Somebeachsomewhere division, his elimination of the North America Cup, the Bluegrass and the final of the Progress Pace (by a head).

"Madden Oaks is one of the most handsome horses I have ever seen," said trainer Cameron Capone. "He has unbelievable power and raw speed and is extremely intelligent.”

Drivers Braxten Boyd and Simon Allard agree. Boyd noted "Great conformation, great gait and world class speed. I have great memories with this horse.” Allard called Madden Oaks “The most beautiful and powerful horse I have ever sat behind.”

Madden Oaks will be syndicated. Please contact Dr. Bridgette Jablonsky at (717) 578-7395 or email [email protected] for more information.
