With a spectacular 2022 season in the rearview mirror, Windemere Farms of Springvale, P.E.I. has announced the stallion lineup and fees for the coming breeding season.
The 100 per cent producing Muscle Through It returns to Windemere Farms for the 2023 breeding season on the heels of his first crop hitting the track in 2022. The son of Muscle Hill bred a number of stakes winners from his perfect first crop led by the undefeated Irish Ray (pictured above) who banked over $69,322 while winning his 11 races by a combined 67 lengths. The dominant trotting sire will carry a $2,000 plus HST service fee for a live foal for this coming season with multiple mare discounts available at $1,500 each.
Malicious had another banner year on the racetrack and a strong reception from East Coast breeders. The handsome son of Bettors Delight sired the likes of newly minted 1:54 Atlantic Champion two-year-old colt Malignity and 1:55.4 Maritime Breeder’s Stakes winning filly Saulsbrook Mabel. His other numerous exploits included Gold Cup and Saucer finalist Bettim Again and three-year-old stakes standouts Fern Hill General, Soul Assassin and Ultimate Long Shot. He will stand for a $1,500 plus HST live foal fee with multiple mare discounts available.
Gold Cup and Saucer champion Somewhere Fancy was busy in the spring of 2022 with Atlantic breeders eager to get in on the action. The $852,000 winning son of Somebeachsomewhere will stand his second season at Windemere Farms for a $2,000 plus HST live foal fee with multiple mare discounts available at $1,500 plus HST each.
Source Of Pride had his blue blooded pedigree show through on the track in 2022 with the unbelievable filly Therealprincess winning 15 of 16 stakes races and banking over $105,000 for a new Atlantic Canadian record. Saulsbrook Victor became one of the fastest Atlantic sired horses ever winning in 1:49.3 at Woodbine Mohawk Park. Source Of Pride stands for a $1,000 plus HST live foal fee in 2023.
