The homecoming for Sintra continues to prove fruitful as the Anthony Beaton trainee scored his third-consecutive victory in the $36,000 Preferred Pace when scoring in 1:50.1 on Saturday (Dec. 5) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

Driver Jody Jamieson jetted the seven-year-old Mach Three gelding to the top from post 4 and commanded the terms throughout. By the quarter in :27.3 and the half in :56.3, Sintra strolled around the far turn while Hail Christian N edged slightly off the pegs from third for the ensuing stretch-drive sprint after three-quarters in 1:24. Off the final turn Sintra held firm on the lead, keeping Hail Christian N at bay by one-and-three-quarter lengths while pocket-sitter Traceur Hanover settled for third.

Owned by Michael Guerriero, Kelly Waxman, Nunzio Vena and Frank Cirillo, Sintra won his ninth race form 22 starts this season and his 33rd from 79 overall, earning $1,357,967. Off the 2-5 favourite, he paid $2.50 to win.
