Driver Guy Gagnon and trainer Gerard Demers were a force on the Sunday (December 4) program of racing at Rideau Carleton Raceway, as they recorded five and four wins, respectively, during the track’s 13-race program.
Gagnon kicked off his five-bagger in Race 2, as he steered the five-year-old I Am A Fool gelding E L Wild Spirit to a head win in 1:54.4.
Gagnon then went on to record a 1:56.3, open-length romp in Race 4 aboard four-year-old Swan For All gelding All B Over, which marked the first of Demers’ training wins.
Gagnon and Demers clicked once again in Race 6 with eight-year-old Broadway Hall gelding Unabating, who powered to a front-end score in 1:57.4.
The duo was at it again in Race 7, as the trainer and driver teamed for a 1:55.3 win with Beach Boy, a five-year-old Jennas Beach Boy gelding.
The tandem took a bit of a break – that was until Race 10. They teamed with five-year-old Secrets Nephew mare Kyles Secret for a much-the-best 1:53.2 win.
