Bye Bye Michelle scored her first win in the local Open Pace for Fillies and Mares on Friday night at Saratoga Casino and Raceway.
Just two weeks removed from a track record-matching effort in which she won in 1:52.2, the Melissa Beckwith-trained Bye Bye Michelle moved out to the early lead in Friday’s $19,250 feature for distaffers. The five-year-old Stonebridge Regal mare was strong in the stretch and held off Ella V Horse (Stephane Bouchard), who came on for second while Wanna Rock N Roll (Billy Dobson) earned the show spot in the 1:53 mile.
Bye Bye Michelle returned $6.90 to win and led and exacta and triple that came back $31.80 and $59, respectively.
