Filly Forty Seven Grinds To Victory

With a first-over advance at the end of the mile, Filly Forty Seven reached up to win the featured Fillies and Mares Preferred on Saturday (Dec. 4) at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

Marc Campbell was at the lines of his trainee for owners Cory Carver, Alan MacDonald and Katelyn Smallwood as Filly Forty Seven got up for a quarter-length decision in 1:58. The $3,100 class saw Ladylike (David Dowling) finish second ahead of Ms Moyse (Adam Merner) to complete the $102.70 triactor.

Campbell also scored driving wins with Thats Mia Bad (1:59.3) for trainer Jay Noye and in the $2,700 Open Trot with Freddie (2:00.1) from his own Orwell stable.

Jason Hughes, Corey MacPherson and Adam Merner recorded driving doubles on the afternoon.
