'Literally' Perfect In London

After going winless in her first 18 career starts at various tracks across Ontario, three-year-old pacing filly Literally Hanover has taken a liking to The Raceway at Western Fair District and recorded her fifth win in a row on Friday night (December 4) at the London oval.

Literally Hanover did not disappoint as the heavy 2-5 favourite in the 1-1/16-mile claiming-conditioned pace for fillies and mares, keeping her local record in tact for trainer Lindsey Kerr, who also co-owns the daughter of Bettors Delight with Sally Charlton and Ashley Kerr.

Combining with driver Daryl Thiessen, the streaking filly fired to command from post four ahead of Century Gaga (Lorne House) before Panerai (Scott Wray) swept from third to first after the :30.2 opening quarter.

Racing down the backside the second time past the 1:00.1 half-mile mark, Century Gaga confronted Panerai and, as she took over approaching the final turn, Literally Hanover picked up the chase.

The top two took off down the stretch with Literally Hanover rushing by late to score in 2:07.4 for the added distance. Century Gaga settled for second, 1-1/4 lengths behind, while See The Delight (Don Rankin Jr.) finished 6-3/4 lengths back in third.
