While Northlands Park's top harness race has fallen off the map, there are past champions still slugging it out.
Three recent Western Canada Pacing Derby champions are scheduled to slug it out during Woodbine Racetrack's Saturday, December 6 card.
Hyperion Hanover and Escapable Beaux will compete in the $50,000 Open, while Lil Dude Starrbuck is in a $21,000 undercard event.
Woodbine's card begins at 7:30 p.m. (ET), with the Open carded as Race 10 (10:39 p.m. ET).
Hyperion Hanover rolled to a six-length 'Derby' win in June of 2006. Escapable Beaux captured the 2005 WCPD at odds of 24-1. Lil Dude Starrbuck won the 2004 edition at 2-5 odds with Luc Ouellette in tow.
