Blue Chip Farms today announced that an agreement has been made with Winbak Farm to stand World Champion Shadow Play in Ontario for the 2010 season.

The joint venture is a first for both parties and according to a statement, "is structured on the outstanding potential of an exciting first crop stallion."

Originally campaigned by Canadians Dr. Ian Moore, Serge Savard and the R. G. McGroup Ltd. (Gail and Ron McLellan), Shadow Play set a world record of p,3,1:48.2f winning the Adios Elimination. He went on to win the $350,000 Adios Final the following week. One of his most notable victory at three were victories in the elimination and final of the Little Brown Jug (in a stakes record 1:50h first heat and 1:50.1h final-setting the world record for two heats).

Before retirement at 4, he won the US Pacing Championship at the Meadowlands in 1:47.4 and was second in the Breeders Crown. By The Panderosa, Shadow Play garnered earnings in excess of $1.5 million.

Joe Thomson of Winbak Farm is extremely enthusiastic and delighted about his new partnership with Blue Chip and is committed to fully supporting Shadow Play in his Canadian career. Shadow Play is being syndicated.
