Three For Moreau At Flamboro

Richard Moreau sent three trainees to victory on Saturday (Dec. 30) evening at Flamboro Downs.

Sicario went gate-to-wire to post the fastest of the triad of victories for the Moreau stable in 1:58, scoring by a half length over stablemate Flaunt It To Winit (J Harris). Travis Henry took the Moreau student through panels in :28.1, :58.3 and 1:28.1 before crossing the wire on top for the eight-year-old gelding's 40th triumph. He is owned by Pamela & John Hehn and returned $2.60 to win. Petro Angel (Samuel Fillion) completed the triactor.

Winning Muscle and Brett MacDonald were the first to the winner's circle on the evening card for Moreau, defeating a blanket finish to win by a half length in 1:59.4. Laa Dee Gaa (Fillion) finished second with Caviars Triumph (Scott Coulter) third. Moreau trains the sophomore gelding for Joe Tinelli as the trotter earned his sixth career win. He paid $2.90 to win.

Marina Del Rey (Henry) capped off the training hat trick as the three-year-old filly overcame post eight to win by a head in a blanket finish across the wire in 1:59.2. A Disruptor (Anthony Haughan) finished second and Lisas All In (Paul MacKenzie) rounded out the top three. Robert Watson and Tyler Benson co-own the filly, who recorded her fifth career victory. She returned $19.50 to win as the 9-1 upset victor.
