The first harness race program of the 2010 season at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park will feature 10 horses in one race competing at
a distance of a mile and a half.
First-race post time for the 14-dash Saturday, January 2 card is 1:00 p.m., with the distance race being called to post for Race 6 at 2:20 p.m.
"You don't see something like this very often," said Harness Racing PEI's Lee Drake. "It is certainly building some excitement with 10 horses lining up for the race. We are working with the industry groups to introduce more unique product offerings on and off the racetrack for customers and fans in 2010."
The race will kick-off the Pick 6 jackpot. Race analysts have chosen Hopedale Paris, Champ of Mischief and Centurion Thunder as their favorites in the unique race which carries a purse of $1,000.
