Eleven-year-old pacer Bagel Beach Boy, a winner of the Messenger and Matron Stakes at three, has been
retired.
Bagel Beach Boy, who is currently trained by Walter Callahan for Irene Turnage of Bridgeville, Delaware, will spend the rest of his days at famed Peninsula Farms, Lexington, Kentucky under the care of former Delaware horseman Carter Duer, the dean of farm managers.
The gelded son of Jennas Beach Boy-Gift will retire with a record reading 45-21-17 in 141 starts and $855,153 in earnings. Bagel Beach Boy sports a record of 1:50 taken in his seventh year at Hawthorne Raceway.
