Count Me In quarter-poled to the lead and held off the late charge of Classicality to capture Wednesday’s $15,000 Winners Over $10,000 Life Trot at The Meadows.
Count Me In was away second when Wilbur Yoder sent him to the front. The five-year-old Full Count-Howl gelding withstood the first-over challenge of Classicality and defeated him by three-quarters of a length in 1:55.2 over a sloppy surface. Call To Post found late racing room for third. Ladys Dude, Ohio’s 2014 champion three-year-old, saw his six-race winning streak snapped when he grabbed the point early but faded to finish fifth.
Marty Wollam trains Count Me In, who now boasts $353,219 in career earnings, and owns with Acadia Farms.
Mike Wilder piloted four winners and Dave Palone three on the 15-race card.
