For the fifth consecutive season James MacDonald finished atop the driver standings at Woodbine Mohawk Park, with David Menary taking top honours on the training side as winter weather forced the cancellation of the final scheduled card of 2025 on Monday (Jan. 29).
After setting a single-season record for wins at Mohawk in 2024, MacDonald returned with a hefty 350 trips to the winner's circle at in 2025. MacDonald would also lead the way in the earnings category with $7,672,509 in Mohawk earnings. Across all tracks, the 39-year-old reinsman racked up 369 victories and $9.2 million in earnings this year. Louis-Philippe Roy finished second in the driver standings at Mohawk with 268 wins, while Doug McNair was third with 241.
David Menary took home the training title in 2025 with 114 wins during the year and was second in earnings behind only Ron Burke ($3,972,027) with $2,960,389 in 2025. It has been a career year for Menary in terms of wins and earnings in 2025, with starters across all tracks picking up 118 wins and $3.5 million. Kyle Fellows was second in the Mohawk trainer standings with 108 wins, while Jodie Cullen rounded out the podium with 105 wins.
Racing will return to Woodbine Mohawk Park with the first card of 2026 on Friday (Jan. 2) with a first post time of 6:15 p.m.
