Pinner continued his win streak in the top pacing class at Charlottetown Driving Park on Saturday afternoon while driver Marc Campbell scored one of his five victories on the 13-race card.
Campbell sent the favourite to the lead during the opening quarter and held off the pocket-sitting Stayoutofmyaffair and Jason Hughes for the half-length victory in 1:59 over the 'good' track. Mcjestic and Corey MacPherson came from last to show in a field that was reduced to five with multiple weather-related scratches.
The seven-year-old Mach Three gelding, who notched his sixth win in a row, is co-owned by local trainer Brian Ladner and Kevin and Lillian Ladner.
Pinner improved his seasonal record to 11-8-6 in 40 starts and earned his 32nd career win to push his bankroll over the $200,000 mark.
Campbell swept the last three races on the Saturday program with Rebelryan ($7.70), Pinner ($2.20) and Aprils Dawn Star ($4). He was also victorious in the opener with repeat winner Teddys Place ($2.80) and the fifth race with Seawind Rianna ($13.50). His five-bagger pushed his meet leading win total to 123, leaving him seven wins short of his own single-season record at Charlottetown. Campbell set the mark at 122 Charlottetown wins in 2011 and pushed that record to 130 wins last year.
Hughes scored a training/driving triple while Kenny Arsenault doubled up.
Charlottetown is scheduled to host its final harness racing card of 2013 on New Year's Eve, beginning at 7 p.m.
