Round four of the Snowflake Series, for two-year-old pacing fillies, and the Snowshoe Series, for two-year-old pacing colts and geldings, highlighted the eight-race program at Northlands Park on Saturday, December 23.

Going wire to wire, odds-on choice True Horizon won the sole dash for the Snowflake Series by one-and-a-quarter lengths in 2:04.3.

Unchallenged through fractions of :30.2 and 1:03.1, True Horizon's three-length-lead narrowed heading to three-quarters with the first-over move by Ruths Crown Royal, coming within a length of the favourite in 1:33.1 before faltering into the stretch. True Horizon led pocket-sitter Winking At You by three lengths into the stretch, but Winking At You cut that advantage heading to the line, securing second, while Ruths Crown Royal was about six lengths behind in third.

Winning her third race in 11 starts, True Horizon, by Vertical Horizon out of the Mach Three mare The Three Of Us, competes for owners Monica Hudon and Donald McDougall, and has earned $16,312 in her career. Trained and driven by Gerry Hudon, she paid $3.80 to win.

Shaker Tank brushed to the lead moving around the final turn to win the single division of the Snowshoe Series in 2:01.3.

Positioned fourth at the quarter, Shaker Tank sat as President Elect set a :30.2 opening split and a half in 1:02 before edging first over approaching the backstretch. Gaining five lengths to draw towards the leader's wheel at three-quarters in 1:31.2, Shaker Tank matched strides with President Elect turning into the stretch and took the lead while being chased by Blue Star Trooper and Yankee Up, kicking off second- and third-over cover respectively into the stretch. Shaker Tank held a half-length lead on Blue Star Trooper at the line, with Yankee Up a length back in third.

By Test Flight out of the Western Hanover mare Keystone Divine, Shaker Tank, owned by Dan Sifert and Nicole Smith, won his third race in 16 starts, compiling $15,913 in earnings. Trained by Darryl Cutting and driven by William Tainsh Jr., he paid $9.10 to win.
