Im Feelin Good moved powerfully first over and rolled to a comfortable victory — his second straight — in Monday’s $15,000 Winners Over $10,000 Life Pace at The Meadows.
Im Feelin Good was fourth down the backside when Tony Hall tipped him off the cones and asked him for pace. He gobbled up the leader, Nitro Seelster, and defeated him by 2-3/4 lengths in 1:51.1. Major Belle finished third.
Ashley Hall trains Im Feelin Good, a six-year-old Mr Feelgood-Im The Goto Girl gelding who soared over $500,000 in career earnings, for Larry Fischer.
Eric Goodell and trainer Paul Kennedy teamed for three wins on the 18-race card while Eric Ledford also fashioned a triple.
Tuesday’s program at The Meadows is the final card of the current meeting, when no pool may be carried over. Thus, the Pick 4 (races 4-7), Pick 5 (races 12-16) and the final Superfecta on the program are all “must pay.” Tuesday’s Pick 4 offers a $5,000-guaranteed total pool.
