Zoe Ellasen sustained a gutsy first-over move that carried her to a 12-1 upset victory in Tuesday’s (Dec. 21) feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,100 filly and mare conditioned pace.
Zoe Ellasen moved uncovered from fourth after the leader, Lady Newton, but couldn't quite clear and had to continue her bid from the rim. But the seven-year-old daughter of Santanna Blue Chip-Spring Delight was resolute for Brady Brown, persevering to down the rallying Continualou by a head in 1:53.1. Amelias Courage A completed the ticket.
The $27.20 winner is trained by Jason Robinson and owned by J M F Racing.
Brown collected three wins on the 13-race card, including a pair for trainer Ashley Brown.
Live racing at The Meadows continues Wednesday when the 13-race program features a $20,099.75 carryover in the final-race Super Hi-5. First post is 12:45 p.m.
