With the majority of horses that comprise the 2021 TROT Magazine Fantasy Stable put away for the season, driver and trainer statistics will provide the majority of movement to the leaderboard over the final month of the contest.
It was a November to remember for Bryce Clemens of Toronto, Ont., as his Team Bryce-Karli stable jumped from fourth a month ago into the top spot of the contest. With a Matron win from Test Of Faith and late season stakes contributions from two-year-olds Kens Walner and Treacherous Dragon, Team Bryce-Karli boasts the best bankroll to date with $6,975,872 earned. Aaron Skilton's Somestablesomewhere maintained its runner-up position with $6,901,080 and Jim Gillespie stayed in third with total earnings just shy of $6.9 million.
The TROT Fantasy Stable Contest is based on total earnings of selected horses and five percent of the earnings of selected trainers and drivers between May 16 and Dec. 31, 2021.
For the purposes of the fantasy bankroll, the winners (horses only) of the 2021 Breeders Crown Finals each received a $200,000 contest bankroll bonus. Also, in the two-year-old categories, contestants were allowed to select two horses.
At the end of the year, the winner of the contest will receive entry into and travel to the 2022 World Harness Handicapping Championship, a prize valued at (approx) $1,300.
