After having been bet down to even money on Sunday (Dec. 2) at Truro Raceway, Ramblinglily ($4.00) put smiles on the faces of her backers, as she went out and captured the $1,675 Winners-Over Pace in short order.

The eight-year-old Articulator mare lined up in Post 4, left for the lead, cut all the fractions (:28.4, :59.3, 1:29), and drew off on her foes. Ramblinglily went on to win by almost four lengths for trainer Allan Jones and driver Todd Trites in 1:59.2. The race was contested over a ‘good’ track that was rated one second slow.

Rusty Riley (who was driven by Ernie Laffin) sat the pocket for a two-hole ride after a Post 3 start and ended up finishing second. Ultimatelyhandsome (Robert Laffin), who had started from Post 2, came first-up in the second quarter and pressured Ramblinglily for the point during the middle half, but faded late and had to settle for third.

Good Friday Three (Darren Crowe) and Badlandia (Ken Parker) picked up the final purse cheques, respectively.

Ramblinglily, who is a homebred of Allan Jones (of Riverview, NB) and Normand Leger (Shediac, NB), has now banked roughly $190,000 in career purses
