Exhibition Park Raceway’s leading driver Gilles Barrieau and trainer Rosaire Barrieau partnered up to win one-third of Saturday afternoon's races including the featured $1,400 Winners Over Pace with repeat offender Slim N Sleek

Slim N Sleek provided the duo with one of their three wins on the nine-race card in the eighth race main event. The four-year-old Cammibest mare, assigned the outside Post 5, advanced to the top past the half-mile mark and kicked away by four lengths at the third check point. Slim N Sleek eventually stopped the clock in 2:00.2 with two lengths to spare over a track rated two seconds off. Skill Factor (Mike Downey) and Melodys Cookie Boy (Mark Haig) finished second in a dead-heat.
For Slim N Sleek, the victory was her 12th of the year in 41 starts lifting her earnings to $17,314 for owner Maurice Allain of Memramcook, N.B. The 15-time winner has banked $31,002 lifetime.
Jeff Labarge’s four-year-old House Of Fun mare, Funonastar (2:03), captured the fourth race and John Breau’s eight-year-old Make A Deal gelding, Lucky Dealer (2:03.2), won the ninth race by nearly six lengths for team Barrieau.
Rosaire, who has been enjoying a career-best season for wins, has scored 28 of his 242 triumphs this year.
