Dreamfair Zenfire took a perfect two-hole ride to the top of the nation’s standings in the featured pace on Saturday (Dec. 18) at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The Marc Campbell trainee was given an impeccable steer by the ‘Blue Knight’ Jason Hughes in the $3,100 fillies and mares preferred pace stopping the clock in 1:56.3 over Ladylike (David Dowling) and Filly Forty Seven (Mark Bradley). Trainer Campbell and driver Hughes also teamed up for a 10-length romp with Arc Light in 1:58.3.
Trainer Colin Johnson celebrated two wins on the afternoon with Laneside Lookout (Ron Matheson) in 2:04 and Bayside Alexis (Dowling) in 2:02.3.

Glider Man delivered on his pari-mutuel promise in the $2,500 Open Handicap Trot, winning in wire-to-wire fashion by stopping the clock in 2:00.2 for driver Adam Merner and trainer Jennifer Doyle, who co-owns the six-year-old Yankee Glide gelding with Danny Birt of Vernon Bridge.
