The 2012 season saw driver Jonathan Drury establish a career-best number of wins when he found his way to victory lane 206 times, but 2015 has proved to be his most lucrative season when it comes to purses earned.

Drury, who vaulted past the $2-million mark in earnings for the first time in a single season, enjoyed a driving triple Thursday evening at Woodbine Racetrack.

He captured the opener with the Otis Hall-trained Ambrosia Seelster in 1:54.3, and he returned to take the checkered flag with Bringhome Theblue in Race 4. The Carmen Auciello pupil halted the teletimer in 1:53.1. Drury and Auciello were at it again in Race 7 thanks to a 1:54.2 triumph with Read The Proposal in 1:54.2.

Drury’s hat trick performance leaves him just nine wins shy of 900 lifetime tallies, and he’s climbing closer to $10 million in lifetime earnings.
