Mojo N The Morning shaved a fifth of a second off her lifetime mark when she front-stepped to a 1:57 score in the $46,600 Ontario Sired Autumn Series Final on Thursday evening at Woodbine Racetrack.
Just as she did in last week’s elimination, the three-year-old Angus Hall miss sat in the three hole to the quarter pole before brushing to command and kicking away from her foes.
Jack Moiseyev watched race favourite Frenchfrysnvinegar and Hell Hath No Fury battle to the quarter pole in :27.1 before moving Mojo N The Morning to the front.
The Frank Colville trainee parked to the mid-way point in :57.2 before clearing to the top and rolling the field to the three-quarter pole in 1:27. A :30-second final frame was more than enough for Mojo N The Morning to double up. Frenchfrysnvinegar was second best and Oaklea Quiz rounded out the top three.
Joanne Colville of Moffat, ON owns the filly, who now owns a 4-3-4 record in 19 starts this season. The lion’s share of the $46,600 purse boosted her lifetime earnings to $78,580.
