Copley Triples At Rideau Again

For the second consecutive Sunday, conditioner Jamie Copley scored a training triple at Rideau Carleton Raceway.

Copley's training triple included wins with the repeating stablemates Giddy Up Bella ($5.30) and Well Done Hanover ($4), along with Shanghai B G ($7.90) -- all driven by Stephane Gendron. The Kenmore, Ont. resident currently ranks second in the Rideau driver standings and third on the national leaderboard with 167 wins this year.

Another trainer shared the spotlight with Copley during Sunday's 15-race card. Serge Pigeon celebrated his first training triumph with the Denis St. Pierre-driven Miss Jackpot ($2.80). The trotting mare dominated her foes with a 13-3/4 length victory in 2:00.3 -- her first in 29 seasonal starts.
