Kenny Arsenault was crowned driving champion after he collected eight points with a win aboard Bo Butler in the final heat of the PEISHOA Driver's Challenge Saturday at the Charlottetown Driving Park Entertainment Centre.

Arsenault completed the day with 50 points to secure the win over a fast-closing Terry Gallant. Gallant had two wins late in the competition that put him close to the top of the leader board going in the final match-up.

He finished second with Coors Life in that heat and was presented with the runner-up trophy collecting 46 points. Gary Chappell, Marc Campbell, Jason Hughes, Joey Pineau, Harold Sheppard and Steven Murphy also competed in the annual tradition.

The drivers scored four dollars a point and later donated their earning in the contest of $1,152.00 to Kurt Hughes. The young harness driver remains in a Toronto hospital.

Rebelryan owned by Kevin MacLean and driven by Gary Chappell won the Saturday feature in 2:01.4. Edgewater RB was second for Jason Hughes while Harold Sheppard drove the other Hughes trained stablemate, Classie Albert, to a third place finish.
