Callahan Wins Four, Takes Dover Features

Corey Callahan drove the winner of both feature races on a rainy Sunday, December 12 at Dover Downs

.

He won a $17,000 pace with Hoorayforthegray and a $14,000 filly pace with Its A Breeze.

Callahan completed the night with four winning drives.

In a driving finish Hoorayforthegray steamed between horses to reach the finish line in 1:55.1 for his sixth win of the year. The three-year-old grey Village Jolt--Bound For Glory gelding trained by Dylan Davis and owned by Housewives Of Delaware, a group of 20 women who own equal shares of the racehorse.

Its A Breeze, who was overlooked at 9-1, came on in the stretch and scored a 1:55.3 win. Nick Callahan, Corey’s dad, owns and trains the winner -- a four-year-old by Allamerican Native--Radiant Breeze.

In addition to Callahan’s four wins, Ron Pierce and Tony Morgan had driving doubles. Trainer Josh Green also had two winners.
