A Ps Money Maker braved the frigid temperatures to take top honours in the $75,502 Heritage Final for three-year-old filly pacers on Saturday afternoon at Northlands Park.

Elimination winner A Ps Money Maker and driver Bill Tainsh, Jr. set out from Post 4 laying down fractions of :29, :59.3 and 1:29.2 before sprinting home in :28.1 for the win in 1:57.3.

Rossridge Divine (Jamie Gray) finished four and three-quarter lengths back in second and Silver Princess (John Chappell) was third.

The Cardmaster Hanover filly is trained by Travis Umphery for Terry Hamilton of Lethbridge, Joe Tinelli and the Shir Win Racing Stable of Edmonton, Alta. In 15 starts this year the bay has made seven trips to the winner’s circle and 10 in her career with earnings totaling $257,074.

In the $16,100 Open Pace, Trust The Artist and driver Jeff Stone used front-end tactics to get the job done for trainer and part owner Kelly Hoerdt.

The four-year-old son of Real Artist carved out fractions of :28, :57 and 1:26.1 before holding off the pocket-sitter Tajma Hall (Jean Francois Gagne) by a nose. The bay prevailed in 1:55.2. Barona Ferrari (Mike Hennessy) was third.

Trust The Artist scored his 11th win of the season and 20th of his career. His earnings now total $329,365.
