Having scored a pair of Open victories in his previous two starts at Dover Downs, Delaware trotter Looking Hanover is now eyeing up his third straight and will take to the track next Wednesday, December 16
.
Looking Hanover, a four-year-old son of Muscles Yankee-Lady Bar who has finished on the board in 21 of his 29 starts this year, is trained by Ed "Jay" Gannon Jr. for his wife Dawn Gannon and driver Yannick Gingras, who bought into the gelding last month.
In an article on delawareonline, Gannon, Jr. explains how the bay has progressed since acquiring him at the Harrisburg Sale in November 2008.
"We did make a few different changes that have made a huge difference. First, we made a bridle change that helped with his breathing. He was choking down and we had to fix that. There was also a clinical issue where he was tying up, and that can be dangerous. And when he isn't racing we have him out in the field on the farm. He just loves being in the field, and that means we have a happy horse."
